Whichever type of equipment you go for, it should suit the fitness level of
anyone that intends to use it. Your gym routine should be enjoyable but also
challenging. If you find the
machines bore you after the first few minutes, you will tend not to use it.
-
Make sure you can increase the resistance and incline of
the equipment you choose.
-
If you have room get both aerobic and strength training equipment for all round fitness
working
your heart and lungs plus your muscles either together or on alternate days.
-
Treadmills, exercise bikes, rowers and elliptical
trainers are all good for
improving your aerobic fitness.
-
Free weights such as dumbbells, and resistance bands take
very little room. Combined with a simple skipping rope a good range of exercises
can be designed.
